Overview

The “Experience A Day on the Farm” event took place on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Thang Loi Hotel in Ha Noi. The event aimed to introduce basic knowledge about farm animal welfare, build empathy toward farm animals, and ultimately inspire more compassionate consumer choices. Designed as a free-entry, family-friendly program, it combined education and entertainment for parents and children.

The Experiential Journey

Participants engaged in a guided 6-activity journey

lasting 45–60 minutes:

• Station 1 – Farmer Mini-School
Visitors learned about animal welfare through an art display illustrating inhumane conditions and a “myth-busting” activity to clarify common misconceptions.

• Station 2 – Experiencing Happy Farm
Participants applied what they learned by building mini barns for pigs and chickens, creating nesting boxes for hens, and completing a farm animal drawing challenge.

• Final Station – Hall of Love
Guests shared their reflections and feedback and received small gifts to conclude the journey.

• Partner Activities

The event also featured:
-A VR experience by Vive, showing the realities of industrial farming
-A Kahoot! quiz focused on veganism
-A tasting table hosted by Chef Q, offering a selection of vegan foods

Impact
The event welcomed 113 attendees, primarily parents and children, who left heartfelt and appreciative messages at the Hall of Love.

A pre-event survey (40 responses) showed that 57.5% had never heard of animal welfare before attending. The activities successfully fostered empathy among children and sparked curiosity and interest among parents.
