Who We Are

HealthyFarm is an initiative by Evergreen Labs, dedicated to building humane and sustainable agricultural supply chains in Vietnam.

Since 2021, and with the support of World Animal Protection, we’ve led two non-profit projects that have strengthened the cage-free egg market and inspired more farmers to transition toward humane farming practices. Our work bridges farmers, consumers, and industry stakeholders — creating a system where better welfare also means better business and a healthier planet.

Mr. Diep’s Humane Farming Journey

Originally a conventional chicken meat supplier in Quang Nam Province, Mr. Diep made the bold decision to transform his farm with support from HealthyFarm. Starting with just 1,000 free-range hens, he began selling to local organic stores and community markets — facing major market and resource challenges along the way.

With continued guidance from HealthyFarm, the farm successfully transitioned into a certified humane, free-range egg operation.

Since December 2022, HealthyFarm has provided market insights, financial aid, technical training, and connections to corporate buyers.

The results have been remarkable: within just nine months, monthly egg sales grew 29-fold, from 1,400 to 28,900 eggs. By May 2024, Diep Oanh Farm had supplied over 713,000 eggs to leading hospitality partners including Hyatt Regency, Pizza 4P’s, and Four Seasons.

Beyond procurement, Pizza 4P’s also celebrates the stories of its partner farms through its website, menus, and social media — showcasing how humane and sustainable practices can shape a better food system.

This collaboration demonstrates how forward-thinking businesses can integrate sustainability into daily operations, promote transparency, and inspire others in the hospitality industry to join the movement toward ethical and high-quality sourcing.

Sustainable Innovation: CAS Farm and the Solar-Integrated Model

Located in Khanh Hoa Province, CAS Farm is a pioneering partner of HealthyFarm, committed to developing a highly efficient and sustainable farming model. The farm focuses on optimizing resources, minimizing operating costs, and proactively addressing energy and climate challenges for its flock.

CAS Farm addressed these issues with an integrated model built on two main pillars: a smart solar canopy system, which simultaneously provides cool, protective shade and supplies clean electricity to the farm. Concurrently, the farm continuously seeks and implements natural feed resource optimization solutions to ensure high-quality protein for its laying hens.

The combination of clean technology and circular practices has yielded dual benefits, helping CAS Farm optimize land resources and feed production while also contributing to environmental protection. This model proves that sustainable farming can successfully go hand-in-hand with high economic returns.

Sustainable Commitment: The Circular Model at Mali Farm

Mali Farm is a prime example of dedication to free-range farming, pioneering the use of 100% local organic waste as feed to create a unique circular economy cycle. This commitment led to a partnership spanning over two years with HealthyFarm.

HealthyFarm supported Mali Farm through concrete actions: the farm actively participated in specialized technical training sessions and received material assistance to upgrade its facilities, officially raising its welfare and living standards for the hens.

Mali Farm’s commitment served as the driving force for HealthyFarm to connect the farm with corporate buyers (in Da Nang), significantly increasing the farm's market reach and revenue. This collaboration will be celebrated in 2025 with the production of a 360° VR video about the welfare hen farm.

Mali Farm's story demonstrates how sustainable and humane approaches can be fully integrated into farming operations, delivering immense value to the community and the environment.

No, joining the HealthyFarm Laying Hen Welfare Network is currently completely free of charge.

Our goal is to make knowledge, collaboration, and practical resources accessible to everyone working toward more humane and sustainable farming practices in Vietnam.

How does the HealthyFarm Network connect producers and buyers?

HealthyFarm gathers key information about each farm’s production methods, practices, and capacity to understand whether they align with a buyer’s specific requirements.

When there’s a good match, we facilitate a direct introduction between the farm and the buyer — helping both sides build trusted, long-term relationships.

HealthyFarm remains fully independent and transparent throughout the process. We do not interfere with pricing or contract terms, and we never charge commissions from either party.
